Men’s Golf Continues Spring Season in California

LA QUINTA, Calif. – The Oregon men’s golf team is set to continue its season at The Prestige for a three-day tournament beginning on Monday, Feb. 16. The 54-hole, par 72 tournament will be played at the Greg Norman Course at PGA West.

The Prestige has been a regular stop on the Ducks’ spring schedule, where they finished in a tie for ninth as a team at 2-over 854 for the tournament last year. Aiden Krafft led the Oregon lineup last year with two rounds under par to finish 3-under 210 across three rounds. Tim Chang looks to improve on last season’s scores as he makes his second appearance at PGA West. Live scoring for The Prestige will be available at Scoreboard through clippd.com.

Oregon posted their lowest score to par as a team this season at the Amer Ari Invitational. The Ducks finished 31-under 833 to equal the seventh lowest round to par in program history. The team’s second round score of 16-under 272 also equals the seventh lowest round to par in program history.

All four of Oregon’s counting scores were under par for the tournament, with Casper Nerpin carding a career-low round of 67 and Tim Chang shooting a personal-best 6-under 66. Nerpin carded three eagles in the first two rounds, helping the Ducks to a 31-under 833 to finish 12th in the field.

THE LINEUP

The Ducks will try out a new combination for the lineup in their first event of the spring:

1) Aiden Krafft (Sr.)                                         Finished first at 2025 Sahalee Players Championship.

2) Sebastian Desoisa (Fr.)                              Individual medalist at Cal Poly Invitational (64-66-69 — 199)

3) Casper Nerpin (Sr.)                                     Shot three eagles in first two rounds at Amer Ari Invitational.

4) Tim Chang (So.)                                           Carded a career-low 6-under 66 at 2026 Amer Ari Invitational.

5) Kyreece Romero (Jr.)                                 Career-low 67 in round three at the 2023 Husky Invitational.

» Two of Oregon’s freshmen, Sebastian Desoisa and Oscar Lent, made an immediate impact on the Oregon lineup. Before joining the Ducks, the pair competed together representing Great Britain and Ireland at the 47th Jacques Leglise Trophy Match.

» Lent made his collegiate debut in September, taking home a share of the title at the Tindall Individual Tournament. After carding a low 7-under 65 in the third round, Lent posted a 9-under 207 to finish in a three-way tie for first.

» Desoisa capped a strong fall showing with individual medalist honors at the Cal Poly Invitational, taking the lead after shooting a stellar 8-under 64 in the first round and remaining atop the field for the duration of the tournament. With all three rounds under par, Desoisa secured his first-place finish carding a 17-under 199, equaling Owen Avrit and Eric Doyle for the fifth-lowest score in Oregon history.

» Head Coach Casey Martin is in the midst of his 20th season with the Ducks and has amassed an impressive resume. Martin has led Oregon to 18 NCAA Regionals and 11 NCAA Championship appearances, headlined by the 2016 NCAA title. Entering the spring, the Ducks’ competitive record under Martin is 2,414-1,198-42.
