Home Sweet Home

After starting their season on the road, the Ducks return to Matthew Knight Arena for their first meet at home this year when they host No. 3 ranked Quinnipiac. Oregon leads the series 15-4 all time, with its most recent win coming in Connecticut last season. The Bobcats finished 8-2 last season, their only two losses coming to Oregon.

Opening Impact

The Ducks opened the 2025 season in style by beating Missouri State, 267.325-242.880. Oregon was outstanding in the pyramid event, carrying over last year’s standard of success which saw the Ducks take home the individual event title in the open pyramid at the 2025 NCATA Championships. The Ducks put up a 9.900 score in the inverted pyramid, while Selah Bell, Charlotte Lippa, Blessyn McMorris and Ashlyn Parlett earned a near-perfect 9.950 score in the open pyramid. Returning to the floor for their second season as a duo, Cassidy Cu and Angelica Martin debuted a new routine in the seven-element acro event. Cu and Martin scored a 9.85 in their opening meet after expanding last season’s five-element acro skill.

New Era for Acrobatics and Tumbling

In January, the NCAA approved acrobatics and tumbling as an NCAA Championship sport for 2027. Oregon joined Azusa Pacific, Baylor, Fairmont State, Maryland and Quinnipiac in the inaugural season of the NCATA. The Ducks won the inaugural NCATA championship in 2011, the first of four consecutive national titles. Oregon has continued to set a precedent of success for student-athletes in the sport, earning 53 individual event titles while making 14 NCATA Championship appearances, including three event titles in 2025.

Future of the Flock

Senior Blessyn McMorris returns for her final season with the Ducks after earning all-American recognitions last season. McMorris was instrumental in both of the Ducks’ 10.0 open pyramid scores last season, as well as their fifth-ever event title in the event. McMorris is joined by returners Selah Bell, Emily Rezner and Bella Swarthout, who teamed up for the open pyramid title with a score of 9.875 at the NCATA Championships last year. Oregon earned three individual event titles and a runner-up team finish as the Ducks capped their strongest season yet under head coach Taylor Susnara with a 7-3 record in 2025. The Ducks welcome 12 incoming freshmen, along with transfer Makenna Guidish who will look to make an instant impact on meet days for Oregon.
