Krafft Leads Field After 36 Holes at The Prestige

LA QUINTA, Calif. – Aiden Krafft carded a 3-under 68 in the second round of The Prestige, and will enter Wednesday’s final round on top of the leaderboard.

Krafft notched his second straight round under par, and is 5-under for the tournament after 36 holes. Oregon sits in fourth place as a team, six strokes behind first-place Stanford with a 569 total score.

How It Happened

Teeing off in the afternoon round, Krafft opened with three birdies on Nos. 4, 5 and 9. The senior added a pair of birdies on the back nine as well, with just two bogeys to improve upon yesterday’s 2-under 69 score. 68 marks the best round for the senior this season, and his ninth round at or under par.

Kyreece Romero carded four bogeys for an even 71, improving to 16th on the leaderboard. Casper Nerpin finished 2-over on the day, with Sebastian Desoisa just one stroke with a 3-over 75 behind to round out Oregon’s counting scores. Tim Chang went 11-over on the round.
