PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS PLAY PHOENIX SUNS ON APRIL 14 IN THE 2026 SoFi NBA PLAY-IN TOURNAMENT
PORTLAND, Ore. (April 13, 2026) – After clinching the No. 8 seed, the Portland Trail Blazers will make their first post-season appearance since 2021 as they face off against the Phoenix Suns at Mortgage Match Up Center on April 14 in the 2026 SoFi NBA Play-In Tournament.
Prime Video will have exclusive national television coverage of Tuesday’s game, which is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. (PDT) tipoff. Rip City Radio Network will broadcast the matchup as play-by-play announcer Travis Demers will be on the call.
Activations across Portland will bring fans together to watch the Blazers fight for their playoff spot on the road. Local restaurant and bar, Jackie’s, will be hosting a Play-In Watch Party, where fans can cheer on the Trail Blazers with Blaze the Trail Cat, and the BlazerDancers as well as giveaways and raffles throughout the matchup. As the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference Play-In Tournament, if the Trail Blazers defeat the Phoenix Suns, then they’ll earn their spot in the first round of the 2026 NBA Playoffs as the No. 7 seed against the No. 2 seed San Antonio Spurs in a seven-game series.
In the other Western Conference Play-In Tournament game, the No. 9 seed Los Angeles Clippers will host the No. 10 seed Golden State Warriors. The winner of the Suns-Trail Blazers matchup will play the No. 2 San Antonio Spurs in the First Round of the 2026 NBA Playoffs. The loser of the Suns-Trail Blazers matchup will host the winner of the 9/10 matchup on Friday, April 17.
