Salahadin Allah, Van Wells Named To Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Watch List

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State’s Salahadin Allah and Van Wells have been named to the watch list for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award, which was announced on Wednesday.

The honor is given annually to the nation’s top offensive player with ties to the state of Texas. Players must be born in the state, have played for a high school in Texas or play at a Texas-based program.

Allah hails from La Marque, Texas and is in his second season with the Beavers. He played in all 12 games a year ago, rushing for 288 yards and a touchdown on 55 carries. He ran for a season-high 68 yards on nine carries against San Jose State.

Wells is in his second season with the Beavers after playing in 11 games a year ago. He transferred from Colorado and helped Oregon State average 189.2 yards per game on the ground. He hails from Houston and has seen action in 31 career games at the collegiate level.
